Compete & Eat
Sponsor one of our biggest events this year – Compete & Eat! On September 29th, 2026, teams of 10 will compete in the Hy-Vee One Step Challenge 2-box race! After the competition, attendees then have the opportunity to try small plates from 8-10 of Des Moines best chefs and bakers!

Save the dates! The 19th Annual Des Moines Hunger Fight is October 6-10, 2026! Last year, 4,000 volunteers packaged nearly 2 million meals – let’s do even more this year! Stay tuned to get involved!
