Last week our hardworking volunteers packaged over 400,000 meals for people in Haiti. We have received overwhelming support for the Pack for Haiti effort and hope to see your support and passion continue through the end of the month.
Through our distribution partner, Convoy of Hope, we were able to send a shipment of six million meals to Haiti last week. These MftH meals were stocked in a Convoy warehouse and designed for immediate disaster response exactly like this.
The warehouse that housed our meals is now completely empty and we have an urgent need for funding through the end of October so that we can package more meals for the suffering people in Haiti and for those without food around the world.
Since the hurricane has moved past the United States, we aren’t hearing as much about the devastation it’s left behind. An estimated 1.4 million people were affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. Hundreds of thousands of homes were destroyed. As of October 10, over 200,000 people remained in shelters without sufficient access to food or water.
Let’s remind the people of Haiti that we have not forgotten about them.
Donate below to disaster relief meals or come in to package during the month of October. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
