Package Meals for Haiti at this year’s Student Challenge

student-challenge-banner-final_websliderThis event is for 9th-12th graders in Iowa. It takes place at Meals from the Heartland’s Packaging Center at 357 Lincoln St in West Des Moines. We welcome individual students, groups of friends, clubs and entire classes! There’s no better way to earn Silver Cord hours than spending time with friends and making the world a better place. Every meal packaged at this event will feed Hurricane Matthew victims in Haiti.

Sign up for 2-hour shifts on weekday evenings or Saturday morning.

Be In it to Win It

Get as many volunteers as possible from your High School to win the Clash of the Classes! The High School with the biggest volunteer turnout will be recognized at the event. Now that’s a State Championship to be proud of!

Go the Extra Mile

Want something amazing to put on your college applications? Do you have a large social following? Do you wish there was even more you could do for starving kids around the world? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we need you!

Join our peer-to-peer fundraising effort called Fund the Food. It’s completely free to sign up and customize your own fundraising page. Reach out to your friends and family by sharing your fundraising page on social media. Tell your followers about the difference Meals from the Heartland is making in the lives of children and families around the world, and encourage them to donate so that we can keep feeding people in need.

If you’re up for this extra challenge, please create your personal or team fundraising page on Fund the Food before the Clash of the Classes event.
