Thank you to the over 3,200 volunteers, we were able to package nearly 3.4 MILLION meals during the 2022 Annual Hunger Fight, held August 31-September 3. This annual event had been held downtown Des Moines at Hy-Vee Hall since 2008 until the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. We were excited to be able to return to Hy-Vee Hall this year. Although we only had 44% of the volunteers from the 2019 event, we were still able to package 85% of the meals compared to that same year.
Meals will be sent to countries including Burkina Faso, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Philippines and Togo.
