2019 Annual Hunger Fight Event Info

Event Date

August 28 – 31. Two-hour packaging shifts are available from 9am-8:30pm on Wednesday-Friday and 9am-2:30pm on Saturday.

Event Location

Event takes place at Hy-Vee Hall. Enter through the Community Choice Credit Union doors at 833 5th Ave. Please do NOT enter off of 3rd Street.

When to Arrive

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your shift unless you’ve been instructed otherwise.

What to Bring

Due to safe food packaging procedures, please remove all jewelry and accessories before packaging. Bring your wallet in case you’d like to purchase a Hunger Fighter shirt or make a donation at the time of the event. Where to Park

*PARKING IS FREE FOR VOLUNTEERS. Tell parking attendants you are a Meals from the Heartland volunteer for free entry.* Park in the North lot (closest to I-235) and enter through the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center Doors. From here, you will go down the escalators and check in. See map: Hy-Vee Hall Parking
